THE COMPETITION GUIDE

Rules & information

Entry fees, prize conditions and verified results in one place. Check the season records below for published dates and results.

1. Competition formats

FormatEntryReward
Free FIREBREAK seasonNo payment$100 / $50 / $25 in EMBER
Paid FIREBREAK or XOX event20,000 FINE per eventIts own eligible FINE pool
Community gameplay drawNo paymentOne $100 prize in FINE

Each new season lasts exactly 15 days. FIREBREAK is the first paid game. XOX follows after the first 15-day event and its settlement, with its own published dates. Free XOX matches remain open. Dates and cutoffs are published in UTC. Practice is always separate from competition results. Wallet connection does not pay an entry fee. Paying for a tournament is optional and does not buy extra entries or better odds in the community draw.

2. Enter by playing

From season 02 onward, no social post, screenshot, video, tags, external account or post review is required. Earlier pending or rejected posts do not block entry or rewards under these updated participation terms.

For the free season, sign in with your player profile, complete a season run and submit it for server verification. For the paid tournament, review the event terms and pay its 20,000 FINE entry through the official entry screen. A paid entry is confirmed only after payment and admission verification.

One person and one participating wallet per season. Gameplay verification, fair-play checks and duplicate-person protections still apply. Payment does not give extra entries or improve the odds of the separate free community draw.

These participation terms apply to seasons beginning on or after 22 October 2026, 17:10 UTC and their linked paid events. Original contracts, payment receipts, posts and review decisions remain preserved as historical records. Earlier closed seasons retain their original eligibility rules.

3. Free FIREBREAK standings

Enter through the free season’s play button. Earlier and current FIREBREAK results appear together in one leaderboard for that season. Each player appears once with their best server-verified, completed run. Ordinary practice and weekly challenges do not enter the 15-day board.

The combined leaderboard ranks by cleared waves, enemies defeated and shorter game time. Exact ties use the earlier verified result, then wallet address and run ID. The server compares exact simulation ticks; displayed time is rounded up to a whole second. A higher wave total always ranks ahead of a lower one. New FIREBREAK runs have no run duration limit. Submit your result before the event closes. All four heroes are available with equal starting conditions for the current gameplay rules. Career bonuses, trained talents and hero tactics are disabled. Earlier runs retain their original gameplay records and are included in the combined ranking.

A lower result never replaces your better verified result in the same competition. Unfinished games do not enter the leaderboard.

A verified run establishes the replay result; suspected automation, duplicate-person entries or falsified evidence still require review. For current seasons, a completed server-verified free season run establishes gameplay eligibility. No separate post approval is needed.

The free podium format is $100, $50 and $25 worth of EMBER respectively. A published season amendment can make these awards conditional on at least 10 distinct verified accepted paid entrants in its linked FIREBREAK event. The entry page shows that condition and accepted count. The season records below show its full policy and final status. An open-event count is provisional until the closing reconciliation. If the final count is below 10, no EMBER podium awards apply under that amendment. You do not need to pay to compete. These sponsor-funded rewards are separate from paid tournament funds. If fewer than three eligible players finish, only occupied podium places receive their stated awards; unfilled awards are not redistributed. A published funding record describes the sponsor’s commitment; only a finalized payout transaction proves that a winner was paid.

FIREBREAK and FINE OR FRIED have separate paid entries, standings and settlement records. The entry is 20,000 FINE for the event selected on the payment screen. Your wallet may also require SOL for the network fee. Never send an informal transfer directly to a pool address to enter.

The updated allocation format is 80% prizes, 10% direct FINE burn and 10% marketing. Read the event’s published policy and payment confirmation for the allocation in force. Under the updated format, first place receives 40%, second 24% and third 16%. Another 10% is burned directly and 10% goes to marketing. This is a direct token burn, not a market buyback. No allocation is described as paid or burned until its transaction is finalized.

New 15-day events close at the published deadline. If fewer than three distinct eligible players have independently verified ranked results, the original FINE entry amounts are refunded to their original source accounts. No prize, burn or marketing share is taken in that case. Network SOL fees are not refundable. Original event contracts and accepted payment records are preserved. A published amendment is a separate dated record; its identifier is bound to new payment consent.

XOX uses verified completed matches: three points for a win, one for a draw and none for a loss. Only the first two completed matches against the same opponent per UTC day count. Resignations and timeouts do not add points. Collusive or automated play is subject to result review.

POOL EXAMPLE

The updated format uses 80% for prizes, 10% for direct FINE burn and 10% for marketing. Entry stays 20,000 FINE. Adjust the example entry and player count to explore the allocation. These are illustrative amounts, not a live pool. Check the paid event entry page for current availability.

Example total2,000,000 FINE
Top-three prizes · 80%
1,600,000 FINE
Direct FINE burn · 10%
200,000 FINE
Marketing · 10%
200,000 FINE

The prize share is divided 50% / 30% / 20% among first, second and third. That is 40% / 24% / 16% of the total pool. This calculator does not connect a wallet, collect tokens or make a transfer.

Historical payment records

Older receipts can retain the original 50% prize, 40% direct burn and 10% marketing allocation. The published amendment changes the current format to 80% / 10% / 10%. The payment screen shows the terms bound to your specific entry; an archived receipt is not rewritten.

5. Community prize and payout records

One eligible participant receives $100 worth of FINE through a separate random draw. The 10-paid-entrant condition does not apply to this free draw. Both free and paid players qualify through a completed server-verified free FIREBREAK season run or an eligible completed free XOX match, with one draw entry per eligible wallet and the same one-person entry limit. The free XOX match must start and finish within the season and end with a verified win or draw. Private matches, paid matches, resignations and timeouts do not qualify. Playing or paying again does not create extra draw entries. The eligible list is frozen after the season closes. The server generates a cryptographically random seed and uses SHA-256 with rejection sampling to select one entry uniformly. The saved seed, list hash, calculation and winner are public and reproducible. This is server-generated randomness, not an externally verified random oracle. The result is stored once and cannot be rerolled through the operator interface. If nobody qualifies, there is no draw or community award.

The free podium and community result are planned for the same closing date, after gameplay and fair-play checks. Token amounts use the first valid closing-day USD quote recorded after the deadline, within 24 hours. The season record pins the DEX Screener pairs for EMBER and FINE. The quote time, USD price and rounded-up token amount are published. If a valid quote is unavailable, conversion stays under review; another source or an invented historical price is not substituted. Token values can change after conversion. A season schedule does not guarantee that later seasons are funded.

6. Questions and corrections

Use @FineOnEmber for competition questions or to challenge a result or entry decision, quoting the season ID and your public player ID. Never share your recovery phrase or private key. Public standings and receipt links provide the competition record.

X and Ember are not represented as sponsors or administrators of this promotion solely because they are mentioned. Published season-specific terms, eligibility and territory requirements apply before participation.

One FIREBREAK leaderboard

One leaderboard per season or paid event combines earlier and current FIREBREAK results. Each player keeps their best verified, completed run. A lower result never replaces it. Free and paid competitions remain separate. Original game, entry and payment records are preserved.

Original Beta transition record

The original transition notice below is preserved as a historical record. Its separate-board policy was replaced by the combined leaderboard on 15 October 2026. It does not describe the current ranking system.

FIREBREAK Beta uses a new shared battlefield and a separate leaderboard. Earlier games and scores stay in the historical archive and are not converted or compared with Beta scores. All four heroes are available. Career bonuses, trained talents and hero tactics are disabled for equal starting conditions. Runs have no gameplay duration limit. Submit before the published event deadline. Entry receipts and published economic terms are unchanged. No new payment is requested by this acceptance.

Free podium and community prizes are sponsor-funded separately from paid pools. A result or funding record is not proof of a completed transfer. In-game Ember is a gameplay resource, not a token balance.
